A magical woodland plant walk especially for the littles (and curious grown ups too!) hosted and co-instructed by herbalist Amber Kennedy and April Salter of Fox and Fern Family Day Care Center in Oxford, MA!
In this informative and fun walk through the yard, meadows and forests at Fox and Fern, children will learn all about interesting plants like Dandelion, Goldenrod and White Pine trees and so many more and will discover some tricks to remember what they are when we see them again! We will discuss the bees and butterflies, practice walking gently through the woods like the creatures and explore where plants grow! We will smell flowers, touch soft petals and maybe even get to nibble a leaf if the teachers and parents say it’s ok! Children will learn how to be safe with plants and how to be careful and respectful in nature too. We will even get to sing some silly plant songs! And the adults will learn a lot too!
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to enjoy some fun welcome activities while we get ready to explore!
This class is geared towards toddlers to school aged children and their families.
Children must be accompanied by their adult/s for the duration of the class.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Tickets are $8 per person (children and adults)
Important information and Cancellation policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund and to allow us time to fill your spot.
Those needing to cancel after the 48 hour period may offer their ticket to a friend or opt to apply their ticket price to a future class but no refund will be given.
Plant walks are held rain or shine and refunds will not be given for inclimate weather so please plan accordingly.
In the event of severe weather the class will be cancelled and full refunds will be given within a week OR the ticket price can be applied to the rain date or a future class if requested.
