Summer Plant Walk-Medicine Garden Tour 7/16/25
Join Westford herbalist Amber Kennedy in the Boheme Botanika medicine gardens at the height of the summer bloom. This private property is home to the Boheme Botanika apothecaries and gardens and supports many thriving plant ecosystems.
Mid summer is a great time to learn about plants because so many of them are in flower and those gorgeous blooms make it easier to learn to identify them. During this leisurely evening garden tour we will be exploring many of the herbs and botanicals in full flower in the medicine garden and discussing how to harvest and dry them and some of their many uses in topical and internal remedies. Sip iced tea while learning about the plants and the pollinators that make it all possible.
Here are just some of the herbs you will be introduced to: Anise Hyssop, Bee Balm, Mugwort, Culvers Root, St. Johns Wort, Skullcap, Elecampane, Rose, Yarrow, Comfrey, Hops, Feverfew, Calendula, Tulsi, Lemon Balm, Sage, Oregano, Wood Betony, Blue Vervain, Boneset and so many more!
Our class will commence in the apothecary for a view of the drying room and herb storage and for more tea and botanical conversation.
Many of these plants only grace us with their beauty for a few short weeks so now is the time to get out there to study and admire them!
